Annie Ruth (Thomas) Caulder

Annie Ruth Thomas Caulder, 81, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Born June 20, 1941, in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Simon Robert and Christine Jackson Thomas. She was a retired clerk with the Marlboro County Tax Assessors Office. Mrs. Annie Ruth was a member of Parnassus United Methodist Church, where she was in the choir and served on the Administrative Council. She enjoyed family gatherings and listening to gospel music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, John D. Thomas, and her brother, J.D. Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Ottie Allen Caulder, Sr.; son, Ottie Allen Caulder, Jr. (Dawn Parrish) of Blenheim; daughter, Laura Caulder White of Bennettsville; brother, Sam Thomas (Wendy) of Bennettsville; sisters, Sally Langley of Bennettsville; Bobbie Coxe of Bennettsville, and Linda Jo Johnson of Society Hill, SC; and granddaughter, Briana Caulder of Bennettsville.

A celebration of her life and transformation will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Parnassus United Methodist Church. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held immediately following the service at the church.
