Barbara Mumford Hubbard, age 77 of Clio, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness.

Barbara was born July 15, 1945. She was a daughter of Lila Mae Hyatt Mumford and the late Albert Chesley Mumford, Sr. Barbara enjoyed traveling and sharing her knowledge of all things with those around her. She loved the beach and listening to beach music. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing beautiful flowers. She was a member of the Garden Club of Bennettsville and Magnolia’s Bridge Club. Barbara loved to entertain. She always planned, decorated, and cooked for her parties. She believed that “every day was Christmas” and it was her favorite holiday. Barbara loved cooking, baking, and canning, and sharing it with others. She served as secretary and treasurer of Hubbard Hardware, Inc. for many years. Above all, Barbara loved her family and adored her two sons.

In addition to her father, Barbara was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Chesley Mumford, Jr., and a sister, Lucille M. Wilson.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Windy Hubbard of the home; sons, Wyn Hubbard (Rosa) and Wade Hubbard (Niki) all of Clio; her mother, Lila Mae Hyatt Mumford of Clio; her sister, Linda M. Hall (Sonny) of Clio; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m., just prior to the service.
