Bari Frances Locklear, 38, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion, and deep connection with those who knew her best.
Born on December 30, 1987, Bari was the beloved daughter of Frances Kirby Locklear and the late Evans Locklear, Jr. with whom she made her home. She was a devoted mother, cherished family member and dear friend whose presence brought both strength and comfort to those around her.
Bari dedicated her life to her family. As a stay-at-home mother, she poured her time, energy, and heart into raising her son, Luis Jemenez, who was the center of her world, The bond they shared was unbreakable-truly “thick as thieves”- filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of closeness that will continue to live on the memories they created together.
She was also a source of care and support to her family in times of need. During her father’s illness, Bari faithfully helped care for him, offering compassion, strength, and unwavering presence until his passing. This quiet devotion was a reflection of her character and the depth of her love for her family.
Raised surrounded by close-knit family, Bari shared a special bond with her cousins, who were more like siblings. These relationships remained a constant throughout her life, grounded in loyalty, love, and a shared history that could never be replaced.
Bari was known for her strong spirit and genuine heart. She brought warmth and a touch of the dramatic to those around her, along with honesty and a sense of humor that made her presence unforgettable. She could always be counted on to be there when it mattered most, offering love and support without hesitation.
She is survived by her beloved son, Luis Jemenez; her mother, Frances Kirby Locklear; her siblings; Mona Michelle Mumford (Rusty), Tracey Locklear Stubbs (Donald), Tywla Harrelson, and David Locklear (Betsy); and a loving family who will forever cherish her life and memory.
A service to celebrate Bari’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Victory World Outreach Center.
The family respectfully ask that you keep them, especially Luis, in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They take comfort in their faith and in the enduring promise of God’s presence.
