Betty (Greenway) Harvin

Betty Greenway Harvin passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Bennettsville Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 98 years old.

Born September 12, 1926, in Elberton, GA, Betty was a daughter of the late Coy & Lorena Carter Greenway. She was a graduate of Anderson University School of Nursing and was employed as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. Betty was a kind, smart lady and was fiercely devoted to her family. Caregiving was more than a career for her, it was a way of life.

Along with her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jones Harvin Sr; son, Robert “Bob” Jones Harvin Jr; daughter, Jeannie Harvin Vuicich; granddaughter, Elizabeth Carter Alston; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters, including her beloved twin sister, Becky Greenway Armstrong.

Betty is survived by her great-granddaughter, Jada Elizabeth Vuicich Bryant; nephews, Larry Greenway and Randy Greenway (Dianna); nieces, Lynne Eaves (Mike), Suzanne Hand, and Kathy Doughty (Mark); great-nephews, Mark Doughty Jr (Kelli), Austin Doughty (Victoria) Samuel Eaves, Benjamin Eaves, Jeffrey Greenway (Cynthia), and Chad Rice; great-nieces, Greta Hand and Courtney Blume (Chris); and great-great-nephew, Landon Blume.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville.
