Betty Neal (Jackson) Hinson

Betty Neal Jackson Hinson, 83, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022, at her residence.

Born January 24, 1939, in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Andrew “Buck” and Mary Neal Stubbs Jackson. Mrs. Betty was married to the late Jimmy Boyce Hinson. She was a member of Tatum United Methodist Church and later attended Hebron United Methodist Church. Mrs. Betty worked with Drs. Howell and McAlpine as a Lab Tech and later was the office manager for over 33 years. She was a retired office manager for Whitner-Evans Funeral Home. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, Golf, Clemson, she especially liked Jeff Gordon and Phil Mickelson. Mrs. Betty loved her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, W. Curt Hinson of Tatum; daughter, Jackie Hinson of Conway; sister, Mary Frances Nahm and husband Cliff of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Jamie Jones Hedges (Michael), Langston Jones (Faith), C.J. Hinson and Jordan Hinson; great grandchildren, LaRue Hedges, Allen Hedges, and Lane Hedges.

Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Bobbie Jean McCallum.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Beauty Spot Cemetery in Bennettsville. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
