Betty Sheppard Huckabee passed away, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. She was 80 years old.

Betty was born on January 17, 1944, to the late Boyd Marvin and Carrie Mae Alexson Sheppard. She retired from Perdue Farms, where she worked as a Quality Awareness Inspector. She enjoyed working in the yard, crossword puzzles, shopping, and family gatherings.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; sons, James E. Jones (Lucinda) and Bobby Jones; daughters, Patty A. Jones, Valerie Huckabee (Garrett Knox), Valencia Huckabee, Betty Huckabee, and Vanessa H. Goins (Joshua); grandchildren, Shad Rowe (Joni), Selena Rowe, Tiffany Lowery, Buck S. Gratia, Brycen S. Gratia, Ashley M. Roberts, Shannon Baker (Walter), Brittany N. Gratia, Stephen Paul Jones, Jr., Stephen Tyler Jones, Jordy Jones, Shane B. Jones, Savannah Jones, and Jesse Jones; a host of great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, sons, Billy Jones, John Tyson Huckabee, Jr., and Stephen Paul Jones; first husband, Jimmy Jones; second husband, John Tyson Huckabee.

A graveside service will be 2pm, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the residence of Betty S. Huckabee, 1513 Griffin Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Monday, August 12, 2024, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
