Mrs. Billie Jean Shelley Lane, passed away, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her residence. She was 56 years old.

Mrs. Billie Jean was born on September 14, 1967, to Shirley Jean Cox Shelley and the late William Carl Shelley Jr. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the Choir. She loved to walk, spending time with her grandson Wade, and eating dinner with her family, especially cucumbers.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; husband, Johnny Mac Lane, Jr.; mother, Shirley Jean Cox Shelley; son, Donnie Stewart Lane (Emily Freeman); daughter, Ashley Kimrey (Drew); grandchildren, Wade Kimrey, Summer Lane, Katelynn Lane, and Mason Freeman; brothers, William Shelley (Sara) and Clarence Shelley (Robin); sisters, Connie Lane (Ricky) and Tammie Turner (Scott Elliott).

She was preceded in death by her father listed above, sons, William Chad Lane and Bradley Dean Lane; niece, Shonna Robinette; In-laws, Johnny and Ruth Lane.

A funeral service will be held 3pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church in Bennettsville, with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Monday, February 26, 2024, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
