Billy Ray McGill, 56, passed away suddenly Sunday, July 9, 2023, at McLeod Health in Cheraw, SC.

Born August 13, 1966, in Mullins, SC, he was a son of Shelby Jean Hayes Taylor and the late Raymond Ray McGill. Billy served in the S.C. National Guard and formerly worked as a welder at Kaufman Trailers in Bennettsville. He enjoyed working in his garden, cutting grass, and playing with his children.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather, Frank Taylor.

Billy is survived by his wife, Christina Johnston McGill of the home, his mother, Shelby Jean Hayes Taylor, of Bennettsville, children, Hunter McGill, Patricia Johnston, and Johnny Bundrick, sister, Christina Ball (Danny) of Thornton, CO.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville.
