Bobby Everett Caulder, Sr., age 89 of Bennettsville, passed away surrounded by family, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at his residence.

Bobby was born April 23, 1935, in Laurel Hill, NC. He was a son of the late James Edmond and Carrie Love Caulder. Bobby served his country in the United States Army. He was a loyal soldier, serving until his retirement. After his time in the Army, Bobby worked as a deputy with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office. He retired after many years of service to the citizens of Marlboro County. Bobby was the former owner and operator of Carolina Traders. He enjoyed fishing, dirt track racing, and cutting grass. Bobby also attended Springfield Church of God. Most of all, Bobby enjoyed time spent with his family.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a wife, Mary Crosland Caulder; a son, Bobby Everett Caulder, Jr, a grandson, William Everett Caulder; brothers, Jesse Caulder, Eugene Caulder; sisters, Katie Byrd, Irene Jernigan, Joyce Caulder, Inez Stone; a stepson, Clyde Bennett.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Janie Morrison Caulder of the home; a daughter, Wanda Caulder Weaver of Bennettsville; a sister, Ruby “Patsy” Hicks of Laurel Hill; stepdaughters; Donna Hardin (Jeff) and Kim Bennett, both of Laurel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Patrick Caulder (Dixie), Noah Caulder, Matthew Williams (Samantha); step grandchildren, Lynn Breeden, Kristin Parker, and Renee Lopez; great grandchildren, Matthew “MJ” Williams, Shelby Williams, Loralai Cloninger and Maggie Cloninger; step great grandchildren, Callie Parker, Dakota Locklear, and Nolan Breeden.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Church of God. Burial with military honors will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park.

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Springfield Church of God.
