Carolyn Blue, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Hospice Haven in Rockingham, NC.
Carolyn was born in Bennettsville, SC., on January 1, 1958, to the late Robert Lee and Thelma Pope Blue.
Carolyn moved from Bennettsville, SC, to Hamlet, NC, in 1983 to pursue a job with Clark Equipment Company. She worked for the US Postal Service in Marston, NC, for several years and later became the business owner of Hamlet Florist & Gifts in Hamlet, NC. She loved talking to people and never met a stranger.
Carolyn's life was defined by her faith, generosity, and her love of music. She had a beautiful gift for singing, and she shared it freely, performing gospel music in churches throughout the area. Her voice lifted spirits, comforted hearts, and brought people closer to God.
Always giving and kind, Carolyn never hesitated to help anyone in need, even if it meant she was doing without. Her compassion and warmth touched everyone she met, and her legacy will live on in the lives she changed through love and faith.
Carolyn was proud of her grandsons, Jarrett Lockey and Cameron Mabe, who brought endless happiness and laughter to her heart. She cherished every moment spent with them and spoke often of how blessed she was to have two bright grandsons in college and how much she loved them both.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; son, Jason Lockey (Nikki), grandsons, Jarrett Lockey and Cameron Mabe; brother, Thomas H. Blue; sisters, Delorice B. Barrington (Jerry), Livie B. Turner, Bobbie Jean B. Grooms (Donald), and Roberta B. Boney (Jimmy); and many nieces and nephews.
