Charles Edward “Eddie” Apgar, age 79 of Bennettsville, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, after an extended illness.

Eddie was born November 3, 1944, in Bennettsville. He was a son of the late Lester and Ollie Jones Apgar. Eddie worked as a painter in a manufacturing facility. He was a man of strong faith, who loved the Lord. He enjoyed singing, listening to country music, and playing on his phone. Eddie loved the holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all, Eddie enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Edna Faye Apgar of the home; a son, Harvey Glenn Polston of Bennettsville; daughters, Jessica Apgar (William Barron) of Bennettsville, Crystal Jackson (Wally Bright) of Bennettsville, and Stacy Apgar of Welcome, NC; grandchildren, James Locklear and Andy Kersey; several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at McCall Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
