Charles "Rosey" Richard Goings

Charles “Rosey” Richard Goings passed away Monday, March 27, 2023, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville. He was 62 years old.

Born June 14, 1960, in Bennettsville, Rosey was a son of the late Charlie Goings, Jr. “Bo” and Edith Spence Goings. He was a 1978 graduate of Bennettsville High School and was employed with Crown Cork & Seal of Cheraw. He enjoyed shooting pool, watching westerns, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his dog, Sadie. Rosey was a devoted father and grandfather. His greatest joy was time spent with his daughter, Jordon, and his grandsons. He will be dearly missed.

Rosey was preceded in death by his father, listed above; and brother, Anthony Wayne “Goofy” Goings.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, listed above; daughter, Jordon Goings (Chris Sanchez) of Bennettsville, brother, Robert Goings of Society Hill; sister, Sylvia “Flossy” Gainey (Greg) of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Shane “Snap” Usher, Jamison “Goob” Usher, Jackson “Knot Head,” Crowley, and Gunnar “G-Man” Crowley; nephews, Josh Goings and Cody Gainey; nieces, Nikki Hovekamp, Amber Norris, and Brandy Lawhon; and sister-in-law, Tammy Goings.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., just prior to the service.
