Curtis E. Creech, Jr.

Curtis Eugene Creech, Jr. age 64 of Bennettsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Curtis was born on March 28, 1962, in Hartsville, SC. He was the son of the late Curtis Eugene, Sr. and Ella Leviner Creech. Curtis was a graduate of Wallace High School, class of 1980. He worked at INA Bearing for twenty-nine years, where he clocked out for the last time, about an hour before he passed away. Before his long career at INA, He enjoyed running “Pops Lounge” where he had fond memories with many friends. Curtis loved where he grew up and had so many fond memories of the “Sandhills” aka Chavistown. Curtis enjoyed watching NASCAR and New England Patriot Football, at least until his personal friend, Tom Brady left. He was also, “a lover of politics.”

In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Lydia Creech; and his K-9 companions, Bella and Cash.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Kristy Faulk Creech; a daughter, Chandler Creech Larsen (Eli); a grandchild, Ella Race Larsen; a K-9 friend, Liza “Loot Loot”; several extended family members and close friends also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Chavis Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Curtis to the Marlboro County Humane Society PO Box 135 Bennettsville, SC 29512.
