Cynthia Ann McDowell, age 68, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at her residence.

Cynthia was born on October 22, 1956, in Latta, SC to the late Lide and Mary Frances Owens McDowell, Jr. She graduated from Blenheim High School in 1975. Cynthia worked at United Technologies, the United States Postal Service, Liberty Life Insurance Company and as a care giver which was her true calling. You could always see her taking care of those she truly loved. She was a special lady and loved being around her friends and family. Cynthia attended Bennettsville Second Baptist Church but was a lifelong member of Bristow Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above, a son, Kevin Mitchell Turner; sister, Janet Graves; brothers, Ralph McDowell and Dennis McDowell.

Cynthia is Survived by her dear and special friend, Kem Driggers of Bennettsville; sister, Patricia (Steve) Bundy of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Johnathan, Bradley and Luke Turner of King, NC; nieces, Kimberly Carabo of Pendelton, SC, and Sheena McDowell of Floydale, SC; nephew; Josh (Danielle) Bundy of Macon, GA; brother-in-law, Rocky Graves of Bennettsville, SC.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Second Baptist Church with burial to follow at Bristow Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Second Baptist Church.
