Debra Lynn (Lowry) VanHorn

Debra Lynn Lowry VanHorn, widow of Tony Lee VanHorn. passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at Scotland Memorial Hospital after an unexpected illness. She was 71 years old.

Debra was born in Scotland County, NC on August 17, 1952, to the late Brown and Crissie Cummings Lowry. She was a member of Victory World Outreach Center. She was a Bookkeeper for Marlboro County School District. She enjoyed going to Church, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; son, Jason Lee VanHorn; daughter, Toni Lynn VanHorn-Odom (Keith); grandchildren, Cameron Lee VanHorn, Brantlee Odom, and Rose Odom; brothers, Calton Lowry, and Edzel Lowry (Gwen); sisters, Deloris Barnett (Mason), Era Elliott (Jerry), and Barbara Farmer (Buddy); a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents listed above; brothers, Braddie Lowry, Delwyn Lowry, and Orvis Lowry.

A funeral service will be held at 4 pm Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Victory World Outreach Center, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor JR Chavis. A visitation will be held 3-4 pm at the Church just prior to the service.
