Dennis Ryan Bozard

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dennis Ryan Bozard, a loving husband, father, brother, cherished grandfather and great grandfather who left us on August 21, 2025. Dennis was known as “Papa” to his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and laughter.

A proud alumnus of Clemson University, Dennis’s love for the outdoors was unparalleled. Whether fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature, he found peace and fulfillment in every adventure. His craftsmanship was evident in the beautiful bowls he created and the carpentry projects he undertook, showcasing his creative spirit and dedication to quality.

Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he demonstrated his commitment to his country and the values of service and sacrifice. His military experience shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of loyalty and community.

In addition to his passions, Dennis served as a devoted Deacon at Bruton’s Folk Baptist Church, where he guided and supported his community with compassion and dedication. He was also a member of Marlboro Masonic Lodge #88, where he forged lasting friendships and embraced the values of brotherhood and community service.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joyce, his son Robert (Angel), and his grandchildren Ryan, Bella, Kody, Elise, and Paul (Robin), as well as his great-granddaughter Isla Jean, who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

 He was preceded in death by his parents Ryan and Ruby Bozard, his son Eric, and his siblings Peggy Mackey and Roger Bozard.

His kindness, strength, and passion for life will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In honoring Dennis’s life, we invite friends and family to gather for a celebration of his life at 2pm on August 30th, 2025, at Bruton’s Fork Baptist. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the church just prior to the service.
