Doris Crowley

Doris Crowley, age 81 of Bennettsville, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, after an extended illness.

Doris was born September 29, 1942, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of the late Yancey and Elizabeth Haithcock Crowley. Doris worked for several years at Delta Mills, until the plant closed. She loved country music. She enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. Doris loved   driving her Ford Mustang. She also enjoyed planting flowers and bushes in her yard. Doris had a huge, giving heart. She had a deep love for children and would do anything for anybody.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Crowley.

Doris is survived by a special cousin, Julia Mumford of Bennettsville; and special family members who lovingly called her Aunt Doris. Several other extended family members also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the graveside after the service.
