Emory Vance Hughes, Jr., 83, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Dundee Manor.

Born June 15, 1940, in Gastonia, NC, he was a son of the late Emory Vance, Sr. and Retha Gause Hughes. Mr. Hughes was married to the late Vickie Liles Hughes. Mr. Vance worked with Klopman Mills/ Burlington Industries and later as Manager of Litchfield Villas. He enjoyed his cats, dogs, and tinkering on equipment.

He is survived by his sons, Keith Hughes and wife Amber of Clio, Markael Hughes and wife B.J. of Clio, grandchildren, Skyler Hughes (Mary Alana), Faira Hughes, and Holden Hughes, great-granddaughter, Emryn Victoria Hughes.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Hebron United Methodist Church in Clio.
