Ernest Crowley, 78, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home after a lengthy illness.

Born on April 20, 1944, in Bennettsville, he was a son of the late Earline Crowley. He was married to the late Juanita Driggers Crowley. Mr. Ernest was retired from SO PAK CO in Bennettsville, where he was a lead mechanic. He loved NASCAR.

He is preceded in death by his mother, wife, brothers, Marvin and Stewart Crowley, and sister, Sara Burr.

Mr. Ernest is Survived by his daughters, Denise Pruitt and husband Frank, Lisa “Shorty” Perkins and husband Robert; brothers, Robert Crowley, Jennings Crowley and wife Vickie; sisters, Eva Kimrey and Kathy Scoggins; grandchildren, Travis L. Pruitt, Victor T. Perkins, and Courtney F. Perkins; great grandchildren, Kamerron Pruitt and Kyler Pruitt; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Funeral Home.
