Ethel Fairchild Crowley Quick, age 80 of Bennettsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at her residence.
Ethel was born April 16, 1945, in Chesterfield County. She was a daughter of the late Gary Crowley and Florence Virginia Jordan Crowley Montgomery. Ethel worked many years in textiles. She enjoyed sewing, doing crossword puzzles, and singing. Ethel also enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Most of all, Ethel loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Charles Quick; sons, Johnny Quick and Rocky Quick; a grandson, Bruce Quick; brothers, Caston Crowley and Ray Crowley; and son in law, Lester Watson.
Ethel is survived by her son, Charles Quick of Bennettsville; daughters, Brenda Watson, Linda Blanton (Eddie), and Danielle Quick, all of Bennettsville; brothers, Mitchell Crowley (Brenda) of Dallas, GA, Brady Crowley of Parkersburg, WV, Clyde Crowley (Dana) of Cowpens, SC, Rocky Crowley of Sumter, and Junior Crowley (Cheryl) of GA.; sisters, Pat Hancock and Sara Brown both of Mt. Croghan, Lucille Owens (Arthur) of Ruby; Mary Presnell, Winnie Brown, Jackie White (Clyde), and Sadie Paradise, all of Patrick; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
