Eugene Savage Hardee

Mr. Eugene Savage Hardee, passed away, Sunday, January 23, 2022, at McLeod Health Cheraw. He was 95 years old.

Mr. Hardee was born on February 2, 1926, in Tabor City, NC to the late John Harvey & Carrie McCumbee Hardee. He was the retired owner of his own retail business, where he was known as the Spread Man. Mr. Hardee was married to the late Opal Faye Bullard Hardee. He attended Bennettsville Wesleyan Church for many years. Mr. Hardee enjoyed fishing, working, yard work, gardening and eating oysters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above; sons, Royce Hardee, Ronnie Hardee; sister, Eva Mae Wallace.

Mr. Hardee leaves behind to cherish his memory; sons, Donnie Hardee of Bennettsville, Greg Hardee of Bennettsville, Chris Hardee (Nickie) of Bennettsville; daughter-in-law, Laura Hardee of Florence; sisters, Ila Wright of North Myrtle Beach, Thelma Ostrom of Atlanta, GA.; grandchildren, Kyle Hardee (Jennifer), Alexis Shoch (Mark), Ashley Barrett (Chris), Riley Hardee (Blayde), Hannah Hardee, Amy Hardee and Chellie Hardee; great grandchildren, Alivia, Laura Grace, Kolten, Pheonix, Waylon, Maddox and Bentley.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Burroughs Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home and burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
