Evelyn Rebecca “Becky” Walters passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus after a brief illness. She was 58 years old.

Becky was born in Marlboro County, SC on September 14, 1965, to the late Eli Thomas Walters and Jeanett Pevey Clark. She attended Fletcher’s Chapel in McColl. She was a machine operator in the textile industry. She loved crossword puzzles, collecting precious moments, and enjoyed being a caretaker of her family.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; brother, Lawrence Edward “Bubby” Walters; sisters, Sharon “Josie” Shropshire (Roy), Carrole “Angel” Rivers; nieces, Heather Lee and Brittany (Josh) Lee; nephews, Brandon (Kattie) Lee, Erick Price, and Davan Rivers; great nieces and nephews, Rashann, Nevaeh, Elijah, Jaxon, Bryson, Adeline, Brantley, Carson, Landon, Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., just prior to the service. The family will continue to receive friends at Becky's home, 632 Marvin Quick Road, Bennettsville, SC 29512, following the funeral service on Thursday.
