Frances (Finley) Taylor

Frances Finley Taylor, age 80 of Bennettsville, passed away on July 24, 2022 after an extended illness.

Frances was born September 24, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Still Finley. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist. Frances enjoyed serving as a volunteer with many organizations, including hospice and the humane society. She loved music, especially Neil Diamond and Tom Jones. Frances also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Jean Coates and Billy Finley.

Frances is survived by her sons, Robert Taylor of Lexington, SC and Frankie Taylor (Sheila) of Durham, NC; daughters, Suzanne Godwin (Jerry) and Mary “Twig” Taylor both of Bennettsville, SC; sisters, Mary Kay Wallace of Bennettsville, SC and Libby Gulledge of Ruby, SC; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and several other extended family members and friends.

A celebration of life service will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at Burroughs Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at all other times at the home of her sister, Mary Kay Wallace 607 Lakeshore Drive Bennettsville, SC.
