Mrs. Geraldine Herndon, passed away, Sunday, November 28, 2021, at McLeod Health Cheraw after an illness. She was 73 years old.

Geraldine was born in Marlboro County on July 21, 1948, to the late Lindsay and Edna Owens Herndon. She was a member of the Bennettsville Emmanuel Holiness Church. She was a cashier with Carl’s Food Stores and Winn Dixie. She enjoyed talking on the phone, baking, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; brother, Prentiss H. Herndon; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; sister, Donnie Elizabeth Herndon.

A funeral service will be held 3pm, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Emmanuel Holiness Church, with burial in Rogers Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Ervin Taylor. A visitation will be held from 2-3 pm just prior to the service at the church.
