Howard Keith McKenzie passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his residence. He was 57 years old.

Born in Bennettsville, SC, Howard was a son of the late Inez Jones and a graduate of Bennettsville High School. Howard proudly served in the South Carolina National Guard for six years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and target shooting. He had many good times cooking deer stew or a chicken bog and hanging out with his friends and family. He also enjoyed motorcycles and shooting pool. He loved spending time with his little grand dog “Lily Grace”, and most importantly his grandchildren.

Howard was preceded in death by his mom listed above and his brother, Raymond McKenzie.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Maranda Moody (John) of Florence and Amy McKenzie of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Nathan Moody and Aiden Moody; nieces, Jessica McKenzie and Casey Lucas (Joel); nephew, Joshua McKenzie; and other beloved family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home.
