James "Buck" Williamson

James Buck Williamson, age 66 of Harker Heights, Texas, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family at Seton Medical Center.

Buck was born on February 15, 1958, in Bennettsville, SC. He was the son of Eloise Quick Williamson and the late J.B. Williamson. Soon after graduating high school, Buck joined the United States Army, where he proudly served his country for many years. After being discharged from the military, Buck continued his career as an operations manager with American Lighting Company for numerous years, and then as a land surveyor until his retirement. Buck was a native South Carolinian and took great pride in his childhood roots. He also enjoyed collecting coins and arrowheads. Buck was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed.

Buck was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Williamson; paternal grandparents, Daniel Wade Williamson and Virginia Florence Barber Williamson; maternal grandparents, John M. Quick and Maude Demery Brewer.

Buck leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Eloise Williamson; daughter, Scarlett Jade Williamson (Debra James); a son, Jared Blaine Williamson; siblings, Betty Quick (Ray), Virginia Driggers (Larry), Linda Haithcock, Janet McDonald (Jerry), and Pat King (Randy); loving grandchildren, Aubrie Jade Williamson, Amber Lynn Williamson, and Justin Blaine Williamson; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A celebration of Buck’s life will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Faith Fellowship Church at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
