James “Jamie” Tillman Grant, Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at his residence.

Born October 30, 1958, in Bennettsville, SC, he was a son of the late James Tillman, Sr. and Diane Hargrave Grant. Jamie was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Brown Grant; daughters, Leann Sides and husband Davidson of Cheraw, SC, and Kathryn Grant Cook and husband Josh of Newnan, GA; brother, Keith Grant and wife Pamela of Bennettsville, SC; sister, Martha Grant Hyduke and husband Joseph of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Henry Davidson Sides and Kathryn James Sides; nieces, Lindsay Hyduke of Asheville, NC, and Krysten Hyduke of Bennettsville, SC; and nephew, Ryan Turner of Austin, TX.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023, at McCall Cemetery in Bennettsville. A gathering of friends will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville in Brogdon Hall, and at other times friends may visit at the home.
