James Carmichael McBride, Sr. age 73 of Bennettsville, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at his residence.
Michael was born on November 18, 1951, in Bennettsville, SC. He was a son of the late John Fletcher McBride and Agnes Lee Carmichael McBride. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Michael was self-employed as a landscaper and took pride in his work. He was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC and attended Bruton’s Fork Baptist Church in Bennettsville. He was a member of Marlboro Masonic Lodge #88 AFM. He earned a BS in Business from Francis Marion University. He enjoyed camping, doing yardwork, and loved spending time with his grandkids.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents listed above.
Michael is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Gray; a son, James “Jamie” Carmichael McBride, Jr. a daughter, Jennifer McBride Perhealth (Alvin); a brother, John McBride; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noah, J.J., Elijah, Isabella, and Asher; and a great-grandchild.
A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home.
A time of visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service on Saturday, beginning at 10:30 A.M.
