Jamie Keith Jones, Sr., 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Born in Lumberton, NC, on March 6, 1972, Jamie was the beloved son of Carlene Fields Jones and the late Larry Jones, Sr. He was employed as a mechanic with Butterball, where he was known for his hard work and dedication. Jamie found joy in life’s simple pleasures—working on cars, grilling out, and especially spending time in the mountains. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving mother, Carlene Fields Jones; his children: sons, Jamie Jones, Jr. and Tyrus McLean,  and daughters, JaKayla Jones, Jaliya Pegan, Imoni Jones, and Elori Jones; his brother, Larry Jones, Jr.; and eight cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jones, Sr.; his daughter, Elijah Jones; and his grandmothers, Frances Fields and Carrie Mae Cummings. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville, SC. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, SC.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, just prior to the service.
