Gloria Jean Lancaster Blue, 75, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022, at her residence.

Born February 17, 1947, in Wilmington, NC, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Billie Hansley Lancaster. She was married to the late Fred E. Blue. Mrs. Jean was the retired co-owner of Blue’s Painting with her late husband. She was also a teacher’s assistant with the Marlboro County Schools. Mrs. Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed cross stitching, cooking, and reading.

She is survived by her sons, Leverne Martin (Linda) of Bennettsville, William Blue (Heather) of Bennettsville, and Freddie Blue (Sundi) of Hartsville; her daughter, Nichole Owens (Chris) of Spartanburg; brother, Mike Lancaster (Darlene) of Bennettsville; sisters, Joan Elliott (Tony) of Green Sea, SC , Lori Ann Lancaster of Green Sea, SC, Debbie Workinger and Kathy Barnhill both of Tabor City, NC; grandchildren, Erin, Ashley, Alexis, Jacob, Dylan, Jessica, Gracie, Gaven, Avery, Mandy, Brianna, Mason and Jake; great grandchildren, Hunter, Emma, Ellie, Aubrey, Harper, Sawyer, Stetson, Wilder, and Sawyer.

Mrs. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Chris Blue; brother, Kevin Lancaster; granddaughter, Daisy; great granddaughter, Faith.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Blue Family Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the Funeral Home.
