Jennie Bell Dew Thompson Sanders, age 89 of Bennettsville, passed away on February 3, 2023.

Jennie was born in Bennettsville on August 25, 1933. She was a daughter of the late John and Julia Quick Dew. She worked in textiles for several years. After retirement, she enjoyed her life as a homemaker. Jennie enjoyed puzzle books and collecting figurines. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by her husbands, J.P. Thompson and David Sanders; and a son, William Thompson.

Jennie is survived by her sons, Johnny Thompson of Wallace, Eugene Thompson (Linda), Bobby Thompson (Bernice), Jerry Thompson (Linda), and Alford Thompson all of Bennettsville; daughters, Virginia Mae Thompson of Raeford, NC and Martha Bell Thompson of Gibson, NC; a sister, Lillie Virginia Berry of Bennettsville; twenty-three grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.

A time of visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
