Jerry Daniel “Danny” Coxe, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, after a sudden illness.

Danny was born April 13, 1974, in Bennettsville. He was a son of Jerry Daniel, Sr. and Daisy Leona Stubbs Coxe. He was employed by Marley Engineered Products. Danny enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed riding ATV’s and fishing. Danny had a love for cars, especially his mustang. He was a people person, who was always joking and laughing. Danny was also a huge South Carolina Gamecock fan. More than anything, Danny loved his family. He cherished his time with all of them. He was always quick to tell everyone that he loved his momma.

Danny was preceded in death by a brother, Heustess Franklin “Hugh” Coxe.

Danny is survived by his wife, Shannon Johns Coxe of the home; a son, Jerry Daniel “Trey” Coxe, III of the home; a daughter, Taylor Leigh Coxe of Clio; his parents, Jerry and Leona Coxe of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Nicolas Daniel “Nic” Coxe and Gabriella Leigh Bryant; nieces, Brianna Coxe of Bennettsville and Railey Coxe of Cheraw; several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. at Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service beginning at 3:00 P.M. at Bennettsville First Church of the Nazarene.
