Jo Ann (Lane) Hanke

Jo Ann Lane Hanke, widow of Timothy Smith Hanke, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at her residence following an illness. She was 65 years old.

Born on April 22, 1960, in Bennettsville, SC, Jo Ann was the daughter of the late John McMillan and Annie Ruth Lane. She was the co-owner of Marlboro County Air Service. A proud graduate of Blenheim High School, she went on to earn a degree in Engineering.

Jo Ann enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends and family, spending time outdoors, and motorcycle riding. Above all, she was a devoted and proud mother.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Audry Lane Hanke, and her brother, Johnny Mac Lane.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Nina Jo Lane; granddaughter, Analaea Rogers; and brother, Jacky Lane.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at McLucas Cemetery in Clio, SC, officiated by Rev. Mike Williams.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 3 until 5 pm at the residence of Mrs. Jo Ann, located at 2772 Hwy 9 East, Clio, SC 29525.
