Joan (Tart) Williams

Joan Tart Williams, age 77 of Blenheim, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, after an illness.

Joan was born February 28, 1946, in Atlanta, GA. She was a daughter of the late Raymond Edward and Martha Eidson Tart. Joan retired from Marley Electric after many years of service. She loved going to the flea market and spending time with her animals. Joan enjoyed watching westerns and Law and Order. Most of all, Joan enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Williams, and her brothers, Bobby Tart, Tommy Tart, and Ray Tart.

Joan is survived by her son, Edward Eugene Howse (Sandra) of Blenheim; a daughter, Shari Howse Taylor (Eddie) of Blenheim; sisters, Deeann Tart Williams and Georgia Tart Leviner both of Bennettsville; grandchildren, William Taylor, Jr., Jacob Taylor, Ryan Howse, Alex Howse, and Leigh Guffrey; nine great grandchildren; and several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park.

A time of visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
