Joanne (Riddle) Britt

Joanne Riddle Britt, 81, passed away, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC, after a brief illness.

Born April 2, 1942, in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Garland and Hazel Storey Riddle. Mrs. Joanne was a graduate of Bennettsville High School and was married to the late Jerry Britt. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, talking with friends, and traveling.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Craig Beaton; brother, Dean Riddle; and great grandson, Cameron Lane Ard.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer L. Ard of Bennettsville, SC; son, Scott Beaton and wife Lori of Florence; grandchildren, Garret Ard, Heather Ard, Abby Beaton, Audrey Beaton and Grant Beaton; great grandchildren, Laycee Zearfoss, Dalton Ard, Caden Jacobs, Ryder Jacobs, Kash Jacobs, Brody Jacobs, Gannon Ard and Salym Ard.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
