John Scott Fravel, Jr., age 81 of Bennettsville, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at his residence.

John was born on February 8, 1942, in Niagara Falls, NY. He was a son of the late John Scott, Sr. and Rachel Hendershot Fravel. John worked many years in the printing business as an envelope printer. John proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was a very social person who loved to talk. John enjoyed visiting with his friends at the Senior Circle. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family, especially his beloved K-9 friend “Sweet Pea.”

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gambel Fravel.

John is survived by his sons, Michael Dean Webb, Sr. of Bennettsville, and Andrew Webb of Clearwater, Fl; daughters, Linda Owens of Virginia Beach, Va, Michele Jaecks (Butch) of Cedar Creek, TX, Mary Ann Gania (George) of Warren Oh; a brother, Herbert Fravel of Philipsburg, Pa; grandchildren, Linda, Cheryl, David Jr., Mike Jr., Chell, Crystal, Justin, Matthew, Mitchell, Stephanie, Tiffany; great grandchildren, Emma, Thomas, Scarlett, Logan, Mark Jr., and Gigi.

At Mr. Fravel’s request, no services will be held at this time.
