Johnny Ray McCune passed away at his residence in Wallace, SC, on February 24, 2026. He was 64 years old.

Born September 27, 1961, in Bennettsville, Johnny was the son of Katie Creech McCune and the late John William McCune. He was a welder employed by PWS and enjoyed building, woodworking, and working on cars.

Along with his father Johnny was predeceased by his granddaughter, Daisy Jackson.

He is survived by his mother listed above; wife, Margie Goins McCune of Wallace; son, Tim McCune (Lindsey) of Wallace; daughter, Heather Blue (William) of Bennettsville; brother, Terry McCune of Cheraw; sister, Debbie Blackwell (Jody) of Virginia; grandchildren, Bailey McCune, Landon McCune, Jake Jackson; and great-grandchild, Wrenly Cribb and also survived by his children's mother, Wanda McCune.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Sunset Memorial Park. Tim’s home is open for friends and family wishing to pay their respects. The family will also receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
