Lawrence “Larry” M. Jost passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at his residence after a brief illness. He was 69 years old.
Larry was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 7, 1956, to the late John “Jack” Joseph Sr. and Edna Polson Jost. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard, where he served honorably for 22 years. He was also a dedicated member of the local Fire Department.
Larry worked as a Construction Technician for Willamette, where he was one of the first members of the maintenance department. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed working in his yard, riding his motorcycle, cooking, spending time with his fur babies, and gathering with family—especially his cousins and their spouses. In memory of his father, Jack, Larry also helped remodel the local Soup Kitchen.
Larry leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his son, Chris Riddle; daughter, Tracy Eakes; sister, Dawn Griggs (Larry); grandchildren, Kassidy Jost, Christian Eakes, and Kennedy Eakes; as well as several nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, his wife, Sue Alexson Jost, and his brother, John Joseph Jost, Jr.
