Linda “Carol” Taylor Huckabee passed away Friday, May 10, 2025, at her residence after a sudden illness. She was 57 years old.

Carol was born in Bennettsville, SC on July 9, 1967, to the late James W. Sr. and Linda Freeman Taylor. She enjoyed watching people’s youngins, talking to people, listening to music, and spending time with family.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory; son, Justin (Jut Jut) Locklear; brothers, Justin Haithcock (Linda Kay), James W. Taylor, Jr. (Alice), and Jerry Wayne Taylor (Shannon); sister, Judy Quick (Johnny); a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John T. Huckabee, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with a burial in Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm just prior to the service.
