On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, Lonie Ella Milligan Clark of Bennettsville, SC, gained her wings, surrounded by her loving family.
Lonie was born on November 24, 1946, in Bennettsville, a daughter of the late Robert, Sr. and Addie Earickson Milligan. She retired from Mohawk Industries after many years of service. Lonie enjoyed working in her yard. She loved old country music. Some of her favorites were Johnny Cash, George Jones, Conway Twitty, and George Strait. Lonie loved her dog, Sugar, and she loved her family dearly with an open heart and open arms.
In addition to her parents, Lonie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Clark; a daughter, Tabitha Quick Woods; a great grandchild, Nicholas Jones; a brother, Terry Milligan; sister in law, Mary Ann Milligan; and many other loved ones who were gone too soon.
Lonie is survived by her daughters, Wanda Quick (Phillip), Debra Quick (DJ), Casey Milligan (Tim), and Stacy Sturdivant (late husband William Lafayette “Bugga” Sturdivant, Jr.); brothers, Robert Milligan, Ernest Milligan, Mitchell Milligan, and Bobby Milligan; sisters, Dorothy Paul, Ella Walker, and Connie Milligan; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Blake Northam (April), Tyler Jones (Ashley), Savannah Jones, Zack Odom, KK Odom, CJ Jones, Lexi Jones, Aiden Jones, Liam Smith, Jaxon Jones, RJ Jacobs, Lillie Jacobs, Lynzie Jacobs, and Landon Jacobs; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home.
