Lonnie Quick passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022, at his residence. He was 79 years old.
Lonnie was born September23, 1943, in Mullins, SC. He was a son of the late Rosell and Anna Quick. He was a retired, self-employed painter and attended Mt. Elem Freewill Baptist Church for many years. Lonnie enjoyed painting, fishing, riding his bike, and watching westerns. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brothers, Buck Quick, Earl Quick, and Buddy Quick; sister, Sis Quick; sons, Johnny Quick and Rocky Quick, Sr.; and grandchild, Bruce Quick.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Fairchild Quick; son, Bo Quick of Bennettsville; daughters, Brenda Watson (Lester) of Bennettsville, and Linda Blanton (Eddie) of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Danielle Quick, Destiny Quick, Austin Quick, Rocky Quick, Jr., Daniel Quick, Nikki Quick, Ashley Blanton, Robert Blanton, Chris Watson, Stacey Quick, Brandon Watson; and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home in Bennettsville, followed by burial at Mt. Elem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Clio.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., just prior to the service at the funeral home.
