Marjorie Lamm Pittman, age 95 of Blenheim, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, after an extended illness.

Marjorie was born December 19, 1927, in Wilson, NC. She was a daughter of the late Allison and Minnie Smith Lamm. Marjorie spent many years as a Family Court Clerk in Marlboro County. She was an active member at Christ Church of Bennettsville. Marjorie loved serving her church as a choir member. Marjorie was also very active in the community. She was an original board member of Marlboro County Hospice. She was also once honored as their Volunteer of the Year. Marjorie was also named the Junior Charity League Woman of the Year. She enjoyed traveling and going out to eat. Marjorie also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and word searches. She also enjoyed bird watching, especially Hummingbirds. Marjorie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cecil Pittman; and a brother, Walter Lamm.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Michael Howard Pittman (Mary) of Bonneau, Sandra Pittman Matthews of Bennettsville, and Carolyn Pittman English (Floyd) of Blenheim; a brother, William E. Lamm (Jane) of Rocky Mount, NC; sisters, Shirley Raper of Lucama, NC, Elizabeth Pittman of Elm City, NC, and Hazel Jackson of St. Augustine, Fl; grandchildren, Cassie Cahill (Josh) of Lexington, Myranda Pittman of North Charleston, John “Doc” English II of Blenheim, and Mary English-Tri (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Logan Cahill, Calvin Howard Tri, and Merryn Willow Tri; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Marjorie will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church of Bennettsville. Burial will follow the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Christ Church of Bennettsville from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. You may also visit the family at the home of Floyd and Carolyn English 423 Drake Road Blenheim, SC.
