Martina (Byrd) Griffin

Martina “Marty” Byrd Griffin, widow of William “Bill” Asa Griffin, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence after an illness. She was 71 years old.

Marty was born in Hartsville, SC on October 20, 1952, to Helen Griggs Byrd and the late Orian Byrd. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: her mother, listed above; son Corbitt Griffin and wife Mona; brothers Devon Byrd and wife Darlene and Myron Bryd and wife Lisa; and grandchildren Kylea Rogers and Olivia Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her father and husband listed above and brother, Marvis Byrd.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall just prior to the service.
