Marvin Samuel Weaver, III

Marvin Samuel Weaver, III, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at his residence following a brief illness. He was 83 years old.

Marvin was born on December 2, 1942, in Pinehurst, North Carolina, to the late Marvin Samuel Weaver, Jr. and Victoria Troutman Weaver. He was a devoted member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Marvin was self-employed as a certified public accountant and was also a retired professor with Northeastern Technical College. In his free time, Marvin enjoyed shooting pool, target shooting, fishing, traveling, and—most of all—spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Ivey Weaver; sons, Roddy Weaver and Chris Weaver; brother, Maurice Weaver (Linda); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Samuel James Weaver, and his brother, Michael Weaver.

There will be a visitation held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
