Mary Jane (Goins) Shaw

Mary Jane Goins Shaw, age 46 of Clio, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, after an extended illness.

Mary was born on December 13, 1977, in Apopka, Florida. She was a daughter of the late Willie, Sr., and Mary Graham Goins. Mary enjoyed traveling to the mountains and to the beach. She also enjoyed reading and sewing. Mary was a big fan of Clemson football and loved to watch their games. Most of all, Mary cherished her time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two sisters, Terrie Brock and Tammy Goins.

Mary is survived by her husband, Franklin R. “Bones” Shaw, Jr., of the home; sons, DJ Shaw and Hunter Shaw of the home; a brother, Willie Goins, Jr. (Donna) of Maxton, NC; a sister, Melinda Goins of Clio; nephews, Willie and Joseph; nieces, Sara, Kristy, Ashley, and Brittany; eleven great nieces and nephews; several other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home.
