Mary Frances (Erwin) Skipper

Mary Frances Erwin Skipper, age 85 of Bennettsville, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at McLeod Hospice.

Mary was born in Tatum on June 1, 1939. She was a daughter of the late John and Allie Freeman Erwin. Mary worked for many years in textiles, until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She also spent time studying her Bible. Mary was always taking care of everybody but herself.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Skipper; a grandchild, Shane Skipper; her brothers, John C. Erwin and James A. Erwin.

Mary is survived by her son, Phillip Skipper of Bennettsville; a sister, Anne Hammond of Hartsville; several extended family members and friends also survive.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the graveside.
