Michael "Mike" Anthony Dew

Michael “Mike” Anthony Dew, age 57 of Bennettsville, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness.

Michael was born March 12, 1968, in Bennettsville. He was a son of the late William Douglas and Annie Mae Goins Dew. Michael worked in maintenance for many years. He was a former firefighter with Clio Rural Fire Department. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Nascar racing. He was a fan of #48, Jimmie Johnson. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes. Most of all, Michael loved cookouts and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by brothers, Randy Lee Dew and Ronnie Dew; and a sister, Brenda Clark.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Annie Bryant Dew of the home; stepsons, Keith Wolfe of McColl, Lynn Wolfe of Mullins, William Oxendine, DaQuann Wolfe, RaQuann Wolfe, all of Bennettsville; stepdaughters, Felicia Oxendine (Jeremiah) of Mint Hill, NC and Bridgett Oxendine of Clio; brothers, Donnie Ray Dew of Clio and Doug Dew (Betty) of Maxton, NC; sisters, Barbara Ann Dew of McColl, Betty Ellis, Rebecca Dew, Lisa Freeman, all of Bennettsville, and Lisa Stromberg of Blenheim; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; twenty nieces and nephews; several great nieces, nephews, and other extended family members also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will follow the service in Mt. Elem Baptist church Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
