Nell H. Roach

Nell H. Roach, 95, of Florence, a native of Bennettsville, SC, passed away, Saturday April 22, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Born April 24, 1927, in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Carey Brooks and Minnie Duncan Hubbard. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Roach enjoyed crocheting, volunteering at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, gardening and landscaping.

Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by her husband, Myron N. “Buddy” Roach; parents, C.B. and Minnie D. Hubbard; brothers, Carey Brooks Hubbard and Robert Dudley Hubbard; infant brother, John D. Hubbard; niece Molly H. Lopez.

Mrs. Roach is survived by both friends and the children of friends made along the way through life as well as the nieces and nephews and their families from the Roach and Hubbard trees.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Burroughs Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 29, 2023, just prior to the service at the funeral home.
