Sister Rebecca Ann “Becky” Herndon Hicks, age 63 of Bennettsville, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, after an illness.
Sister Becky was born November 2, 1962, in Bennettsville. She was a daughter of the late Billy and Mildred Sheppard Herndon. Sister Becky was a member of Bennettsville Emmanuel Holiness Church where she loved to worship. The Lord was always first in her life. “What a mighty God we serve” was her favorite saying. Sister Becky was always willing to help people, even when she couldn’t help herself. She loved her family dearly, and always took good care of them, especially Ronnie. In her spare time, Sister Becky was an avid couponer. Sister Becky will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and “Franny.”
Sister Becky is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hicks of the home; a son, Bubba Rowlen (Suzanne) of Bennettsville; daughters, Renee Rowlen and Crystal Martin, both of Bennettsville, and Casey Quick Norris (Andy) of Virginia; sisters, Peggy Sue Stubbs (Terry) of McColl and Penny Lowery (Brandon) of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Hailey Rowlen (Chandler), Sara Grace Rowlen, Matthew Rowlen, Kristen Miller (Devin), Sabrina Alford, Desteny Alford, Savannah Norris (Levi), and Hannah Norris (Osheal), Logan Haithcock, Lindsay Haithcock, Trece Haithcock, and Isabella Bittle; three other special grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a special cousin, Lorie Nolan; several other extended family members also survive.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Brownsville Baptist Church Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, just prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Burroughs Funeral Home Chapel.
