Mr. Robert “Curly” Lee Goins passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at First Health Moore Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was 66 years old.

Curly was born on January 12, 1958, in Marlboro County, SC to the late Ollie and Esto Butler Goins. He enjoyed working in the yard, cutting grass, driving his tractor, driving to McColl to get breakfast every morning, playing cards, hanging out with friends, and throwing horseshoes.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, wife, Melissa “Lisa” Goins; sons, Robert Glen Goins (Susan) and Buddy Lee Goins (Ryan); daughters, Brandy Carlisle (Eric), Terri Goins Dorsey (Mark), and Patricia Goins Saunders (Jerry); K9 children, Dusty, GG, Patch, and Bocco; brothers, Donald Goins and Billy Goins (Bertha); sisters, Lydia Pearce (Ben), Patsy Womack, and Jimmie Vessels; grandchildren, Audrey Grooms, Ruthie Grooms, Hannah Grooms, Alyssa Goins, Evan Buxton, Krystal Goins, Aerie Sligh, Gracie Sligh, Liberty Dorsey, Alex Dorsey, Christopher Howard, Jr., and Jeren McKinney; 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents listed above; daughter, Pamela Lynn Goins; brothers, Harvey Glen Polston, Otis Elwood Polston “Buddy”; sisters, Dorothy Clark, Martha Turner (James) , Mary Lisa Shelley; best friend, Russell Allen.

A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at McColl Church of God, with burial at Rogers Cemetery in McColl.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at McColl Church of God.
